The FHS Unified Club is hosting a school-wide "Choose to Include" week March 18th-22nd.
Unified Sports has been a growing program at FHS for the past six years. Its mission is dedicated to promoting social inclusion through shared sports training and competition experiences. Unified Sports joins people with and without intellectual disabilities on the same team.
Inspired by a simple principle; training together and playing together is a quick path to friendship and understanding, the FHS Unified Club currently consists of 73 students! Some students play Bocce, Bowling, or Basketball. Some play all three! Other students joined to help with our Unified fundraisers and events throughout the year.
Although only high school students can participate on sports teams, the Unified Club would love to find ways to incorporate the principles of Unified to our entire district, including our littlest friends at Wheelock. For this reason, we have decided to host a "Choose to Include" week for all to enjoy!
